The HCERA AGM was held on 20th October in the main hall of St George Catholic College.
This was two weeks later than usual which meant it was darker at the start of the meeting and it had been raining most of the day. The number of people who had signed the attendance sheet was only 20, exactly as last year, rather than 25 for a quorum. So we are kicking the can down the road and will be looking for a quorum next year!
The treasurer in her report had proposed to leave the HCERA membership fee at £5 and the road repair contribution for Ethelburt Avenue at £35. This was accepted by the meeting.
A proposal at the meeting that our charity for 2026/27 should be “Yellow Door” was agreed (see elsewhere in this Newsletter.)
Also proposed was that because so many privet plants had died, we should arrange a bulk purchase for their replacement.
